Alphabet of Contemporary Filipino Artists Vol. 2

The book written by esteemed artist, writer, and publisher Mr. Lander Blanza showcases seasoned and upcoming contemporary Filipino artists. The book was published around the end of 2024. Its copies are being distributed to art galleries and educational institutions nationwide.

Grupo Kwadro’s Dedication to Excellence by Mr. Lander Blanza

Grupo Kwadro was featured in the Art Awake section of The Sunday Times magazine. This was achieved through the article written by respected artist, writer, and publisher Mr. Lander Blanza. The group has been active for nearly a decade. Its members regularly meet once a week. They meet every Tuesday at the moment to sketch on-the-spot. This helps hone their talents and abilities. It also renews their dedication to their artistry.

Roberto has been participating in the group’s sessions since mid 2023. He joined after an invitation from his mentor and former 2Q Artists colleague, Mr. Romeo Montes. He became an official member of the group near the end of the same year.

Grupo Kwadro opens “Harmony @9” Exhibition (Gateway Gallery Press Relesase)

The articles highlighted the group’s upcoming ninth anniversary group exhibition at Gateway Gallery in Quezon City. One of Roberto’s paintings entitled “P.O.V.” was included in the published artworks.

Zoungy Kligge’s “Artist’s Cheat Sheet”

Mr. Zoungy Kligge, an artist and art instructor from Pennsylvania, USA, featured Roberto in his Substack newsletter, “The Artist’s Cheat Sheet.” Roberto was invited to share his nocturne painting experiences in Manila. The article was published online on 28 June 2024.

Mr. Kligge is also an administrator of Mr. James Gurney‘s Facebook Group, Color in Practice.

How to Pastel – Philippine Pastel Artists – Recipient Of An IAPS 2023 Global Society Grant by Gail Sibley (Featured Artwork)

Roberto’s pastel painting “Mestiza 1” was included in the featured artworks in the article written by renowned pastel artist and instructor Ms. Gail Sibley for her website How to Pastel. Ms. Sibley’s article focused on the Philippine Pastel Artists, Inc. (PPA), one of the recipients of the 2023 IAPS Global Society Grant. The article was posted on 5 January 2024.

Cover Artwork for Kastigo and Deo Conopio Music

Roberto was commissioned by Kastigo and Deo Conopio Music to create several cover artworks for their online music releases. The cover artworks he made for the song deeply reflected his feelings. The songs created these feelings within him. He was an admirer of both artists.

Fabriano Tiziano Cover Artwork

Commissioned by Prestige Paper Products to create the artwork featured in Fabriano Tiziano packs. The artwork was entitled “Berto’s Breakfast,” 9 x 12 inches, made entirely using pastels. It featured Roberto’s actual breakfast on the day he started working on the project.

Chelseah Hilary YouTube Vlog – “My First Live Portrait by Sining ni Sing”

After meeting vlogger-entrepreneur Ms. Chelseah Hilary (Revel, Kenny Beans Coffee) unexpectedly while sketching one Saturday afternoon, Roberto was invited to make her a live portrait as part of her vlog. The pastel portrait was completed in a little over an hour. The vlog is available on the left (embedded directly from her YouTube channel)
